Laffly Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 28, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Laffly ("Laffly," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, stores, shares, and protects your information when you use the Laffly mobile application (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to the practices described here.
1. Information We Collect
We collect only the information needed to operate a social app:
- Account information. When you sign up, we collect your email address and a password. Passwords are handled by our authentication provider (Google Firebase Authentication) and are stored in a hashed form; we never see or store your plain-text password.
- Profile information. Your username, display name, optional bio, and an optional profile photo.
- Content you create. Posts (text captions and any photos you upload), comments, likes, and the accounts you follow.
- Direct messages. The content of private messages you send to and receive from other users.
- Safety information. The accounts you block and any reports you submit about content or users.
- Limited technical information. Basic technical data (such as device and diagnostic information) that our service providers process to keep the Service secure and functioning. Laffly does not use third-party advertising or analytics tracking, and does not track you across other apps or websites.
We do not knowingly collect precise location, contacts, health data, or financial information.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To create and maintain your account and profile.
- To display your posts, comments, likes, and profile to you and other users.
- To deliver direct messages between you and the people you choose to message.
- To operate safety features such as blocking and reporting, and to review reported content.
- To secure the Service, prevent abuse, and enforce our Terms of Use.
- To comply with legal obligations.
3. How Your Information Is Shared
- With other users. Your profile (username, display name, bio, profile photo) and the content you post publicly are visible to other users of the Service. Direct messages are visible only to you and the recipient.
- With service providers. We use Google Firebase (Authentication, Cloud Firestore, and Cloud Storage) to host and operate the Service. Your data is stored and processed on Google Cloud infrastructure on our behalf. See Google's privacy practices at firebase.google.com/support/privacy.
- For legal and safety reasons. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users or the public.
- We do not sell your personal information and we do not share it with advertisers.
4. Data Storage and Security
Your information is stored on Google Cloud/Firebase servers. Access is restricted by security rules so that private data (such as your direct messages) is accessible only to the appropriate users. While no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, we take reasonable measures to protect your information.
5. Data Retention
We retain your account and content for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, your profile and posts are deleted from our systems. Some information may persist temporarily in backups or where retention is required by law, and content you shared with others (for example, messages already delivered) may remain in their copies.
6. Your Rights and Choices
- Access and update. You can view and edit your profile information at any time in the app under Settings and Edit Profile.
- Delete your account. You can permanently delete your account and associated data directly in the app under Settings → Delete account. This removes your profile and posts. You may also request deletion by emailing us at supportlaffly.app@gmail.com.
- Blocking and reporting. You can block other users and report content or accounts from within the app.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights (such as access, correction, deletion, or portability). To exercise them, contact us at supportlaffly.app@gmail.com.
7. Children's Privacy
Laffly is not directed to children under 13, and you must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your country) to use the Service. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us at supportlaffly.app@gmail.com and we will delete it.
8. International Users
Your information may be stored and processed in the United States or other countries where our service providers operate. By using the Service, you consent to the transfer of your information to these locations.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above, and where appropriate we will provide additional notice in the app.
10. Contact Us
If you have questions about this Privacy Policy or your data, contact us at supportlaffly.app@gmail.com.
